Meet the Doctor

Anastasia Orakwue

DDS, MHS, Owner

Anastasia Orakwue, DDS, is the proud Owner of Smile Worth Dental Co. Originally from Sugar Land, Texas, Dr. Orakwue completed her undergraduate studies at Wayland Baptist University before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville. Her time at Meharry deeply influenced her dedication to service-driven, community-centered care. After practicing across East Texas and the Frisco area, she and her family ultimately made their home in Fort Worth—a place whose welcoming culture, balanced pace, and strong sense of community resonated deeply with them.

Dr. Orakwue’s passion for dentistry began unexpectedly during a summer medical and dental education program. Having had little exposure to the field growing up, she was immediately inspired by the profession’s blend of science, artistry, and meaningful service. She finds tremendous fulfillment in restoring confidence and transforming smiles through skilled, hands-on care. Every brightened smile and heartfelt “thank you” reinforces her belief that dentistry is both her calling and her blessing.

She knew she was in the right profession during her residency when an 80-year-old African American patient shared, “I’ve never had a woman dentist, and I never thought I would have a woman dentist who looks like me.” That moment affirmed the purpose behind her journey—one defined by perseverance, hard work, and resilience. Dr. Orakwue is passionate about representation and strives to inspire the next generation, especially children who look like her, to pursue careers in dentistry with confidence and pride.

Outside the office, Dr. Orakwue is supported by her husband, Stanley, and their four wonderful children, who remain her greatest joy and motivation. She is committed to growing in every facet of her life—whether as a dentist, mother, wife, amateur tennis player, or enthusiastic at-home vocalist. A lifelong basketball fan and advocate for women’s sports, she spends many weekends cheering from the sidelines or driving her children between practices and games. Her life is full, balanced, and rooted in family, service, and continual self-improvement.
